Homerus. I-IV, 1817, vols. V-VII, 1818, vols. VIII-XIII, 1819.
First edition of the paraphrase of Homer’s Iliad by Rousiades, with the Modern and Ancient Greek texts facing, that circulated in 13 volumes and in the space of about two years (1817-1819). The great number of chalcographies cut especially for the edition demonstrates the generous financial support Rousiades (1783-1854) enjoyed from Greek lovers of the arts and from Philhellenes. A number of copies was printed on a higher quality paper (1817). Rousiades moved in the Macedonian circle of learned men, as did Photeinos, Megdanes, Sakellarios, Christopoulos and others.
