Hesychius. Ἡσυχίου Λεξικόν, Florence, per hearedes Philippi Iuntae, 1520.
Second edition of the Lexicon, first printed by Aldus (see No. 20), by the heirs of the renowned Florentine printer Philippo Giunti and in essence a stereotype reprint, since to date the manuscript used by Mousouros for the Aldine edition remains unique. The Giunti edition, however, is profoundly influenced by the aesthetics of the incunables of Kallierges - Vlastos. On the title page the name of the author and the title crown the large-sized printer’s mark, whilst at the beginning of the text a badly modified heading of the Etymologicum Magnum (without the Nikolaos - Vlastos engraving) and initial letters in two sizes compose the decoration of the printed work.
