An improved reprint of the incunable edition of Z. Kallierges and N. Vlastos (Venice 1499), see No. 10, issued by Aldus’s press in collaboration with F. Torresano and Paul Manutius. The red-print heading and initial letter featured on the first page of text refer to the aesthetics of the editio princeps. The words Manus index est apposita appear in the title note, the additions to which are marked by the drawing of a hand. In his prologue, Torresano informs his readers that he intends to continue the Aldine tradition in printing Greek editions, as he did
