Demetrius Phalereus. Δημητρίου Φαληρέως Περὶ Ἑρμηνείας..., Florence, apud Iuntas, 1552.
The Peri Ermineias was not written by Demetrios Phalireus and should probably be connected to a writer named Demetrios of the Peripatetic School (first century ad). It is a treatise on subjects such as rhetorical expression, sentence structure and writing style in general. The first edition is comprised in the two volumes published by D. Doukas at Aldus’s press in 1508/9 under the title De elocutione. This first integral reprint by the Giunti continued in use by scholarly circles as a literary tool, judging by the eight editions to follow in the sixteenth century alone.
