The ‘Chroniki diegesis’ by Choniates, surnamed Acominatus is the most significant source for the historical events occurring in the Byzantine Empire from 1118 to 1206. It is the second edition of the ‘History’, the first being Basel’s in 1557 containing H. Wolf’s Latin translation.
