Dionysius Gothofredus. Corpus Iuris Civilis, 2 vols., Lyon, Laurentius Anisson, 1662
This is a renowned work by Denis Godefroy the Elder (1549-1621), the famous legal counsellor who taught Roman Law at Strasburg and Heidelberg Universities. It was printed in Geneva in 1583 and it includes his commentaries and Notes based on the most authoritative jurists of the sixteenth century. In the same year it was reprinted by a Lyon printing press.
