First edition of the Apotelesmatikon, which is however a false work by Manetho. Manetho, priest and historian, born in the third century bc in Sebennytos, Egypt, wrote in Greek and the only authentic work is ‘Aigyptiaka’, a history written for the Greek-language reading public of Egypt in the framework of the philosophy for composing the Library of the Ptolemies.
