The first French translation of the Odes by Remy Belleau (1528-1577) dates to 1555, reprinted in 1556 by Andrea Wechel. Belleau was a French poet who was a member of the Académie Poétique of Ronsard. This present edition includes the translation by Firmin Didot himself.
