Novum Testamentum.
The text of the New Testament in the Greek vernacular, was originally translated by Maximos Kalliopolites (see No. 941) and was the model for the most editions by European printing presses of the North such as London, Halle etc. Anastasios Michael (Naoussaios) and Liverios Kolettis are mentioned as having been the editors of the present volume. The latter, of Athenian origin, finished his studies in Venice, was ordained into the priesthood and subsequently worked for the Protestants as editor. Kolettis complemented the edition with narrative comments on diverse names and verbs of the Bible.
