First and sole edition of the Synods of the Catholic Church world-wide, containing the Canons of the Holy Apostles, their Commandments, and others. The work was composed by the monk Sp. Melias (1705-1770) from Corfu, a scholar, text editor, teacher and preacher, and later vicar at Venice’s archbishopric. His works are the Didachai (1773) and the Epistolarion (1757). This work in two volumes was printed in Venice, not in Paris, and was funded by the Athenian Paulès Polymeres.
