First and only edition of the Didaskalia, translated into Greek from the Italian prototype. For censorship reasons the place of publication is given as St. Petersburg whereas it was actually printed in Venice by D. Theodosiou. Agapios Loverdos (1718-1795) from Kefallonia studied Greek literature and theology and then settled in Venice, was appointed headmaster of the Flaggenian School and edited Greek books.
