This imperial Privilege was printed in three columns with the German and Russian translation on either side: it secured the privileges of Greek merchants with Ottoman nationality coming from diverse Greek towns of the Ottoman Empire and active in Vienna. This imperial Privilege also gave the Eastern Orthodox Church possession of the Kapelle of Vienna’s St George, thus permitting also the ‘non-Uniates’ as well as every Christian unhindered participation in the Holy Liturgy. In fact, the administration of this ecclesiastic centre was handed over to the Brotherhood of the dealers.
