Athanasios Psalidas. Ἀληθὴς Εὐδαιμονία, ἤτοι Βάσις πάσης θρησκείας..., Vienna, Josef Baumeister, vol. I, 1791.
In the Alethe Eudaemonia, expresses his philosophical topic, reprehending ignorance which he claims to be the result of the predomination of passions over the mind. This work had been planned to circulate in three volumes, however only the first came off the presses, containing also the Latin translation of the text, given by Psalidas himself. Psalidas (1764-1829) wrote his philosophical work at the age of just 24, immediately after finishing his studies in Nizna and in Poltava in Russia up to 1787 and later in Vienna. After the publication of the Eudaemonia he went to Ioannina where he was appointed headmaster of the newly opened Kaplanaia School.
