First edition of the Greek translation of the work by De la Caille, Traité des Sections Coniques, which, in turn, is a translation from the Latin original (Tractatus Analyticus...), edited by Konstantinos M. Koumas. Nicolas Louis de Caille (1713-1762) was a French astronomer who, according to Lalaude was more advanced in observations and calculations than all of the astronomers of his era.
