First edition of the Empirike Philosophia written in Smyrna in 1812 and used since as a school book in the Philologico Gymnasio in Smyrna. The Krepis is based on the Fundamentalphilosophie oder urwissenschaftlich Grundlehre, by W.T. Krug, published in 1803. Koumas (1777-1836) was Coraes’s most faithful follower, active in Vienna mostly, teaching and rendering diverse works of European intellectuals into Greek.
