This book is a reprint from Itinéraire de Paris à Jérusalem et de Jérusalem à Paris, Chateaubriand's monumental travel account, also of 1826. It is a collection of treatises related to Chateaubriand's Philhellenism, in which he announces the creation of Societé en faveur de Grecs, special account to help the insurgent Greeks. As Chateaubriand states, this is not a book but a “word of thanks and an appeal to the charity of the French national conscience, from a member of the Société”.
