Ioannis Filimon, Δοκίμιον ἱστορικὸν περὶ τῆς Φιλικῆς Ἑταιρείας, Nafplion, Th. Kontaxis Th. – Loulakis N., 1834.
Ioannis Filimon (1798-1874) studied at Istanbul and fled to Hydra island after the Greek War of Independence broke out. He subsequently participated in operations in the Peloponnese under Dimitrios Ypsilantis. This is the first edition of the Δοκίμιον [Essay] and his only book, as the rest of his works consist in leaflets. He became distinguished as a journalist in th newly-founded Greek state.
