First integral edition of the Nomocanon by Photius, commentated by Theodore Balsamon, patriarch of Antioch. It is an abridgement of a compilation of texts with clerical rules accompanied by secular laws regarding Church discipline. This abridgement is comprised in the edition with the title Canons ecclesiastiques, printed in Paris in 1551 with the Latin translation by G. Hervet.
