Vernardakes, on the side of the advocates of Demotic Greek, combative as ever, was up in arms against K. Kontos’s Glossikes Paratereseis culminating in the confutation of the work in his publication, the Pseudatticismou elegkhos (1884). The present edition relates to Vernardakes’s Grammar and History.
