Musaeus. Μουσαίου ποιημάτιον τὰ καθ᾽ Ἡρὼ καὶ Λέανδρον. Ὀρφέως Á³¿½±ÅĹº¬. Τοῦ αὐτοῦ ὕμνοι. Ὀρφεὺς περὶ λίθων..., Venice, in aedibus Aldi et Andreae Soceri, 1517.
Third integral edition of Museus’s small poem, with the Aldine as the first, in about 1495 (= the first illustrated Greek book). The edition in question was issued in small format, the illustrations were adapted to the new dimensions, whilst the text remained in the form it had been handed in by Mousouros, who will most probably have edited the Latin translation too. The Aldine Museus was also printed in about 1495, published by I. Laskaris, contained in a small volume with the title Γνῶμαι μονόστιχοι ἐκ διαφόρων ποιητῶν, circulated in Florence, at an unknown date, possibly at Francesco Alopa’s workshop. The second edition is a typographical essay by Demetrios Doukas in Alcala, Spain, printed in about 1514 and represents a reprint by Aldus.
