Emmanuel Chrysoloras. Ἐρωτήματα τοῦ Χρυσολωρᾶ. Περὶ σχηματισμοῦ τῶν χρόνων ἐκ τῶν Xαλκοκονδύλου, Rome, June 1522.
First printing of the Ἐρωτήματα (Erotimata) in Rome, comprising also the Latin translation. Greek was used for the text, most probably from Z. Kallierges’s matrice, whilst the Latin belong to the printing material of Marcello Silver’s. There is much to be said about the anonymous printer of the Erotimata, that is whether it was Kallierges or some member of the Greek School’s press, it is however fairly certain that, as proved by Staffan Fogelmark, the printing master was Vittore Carmelio (magister stampator Grechus), during he was working at the press of Antonangelo Barbato.
