First edition of the Conversio, with a dedicatory prologue by N. Leonicus addressed to Cardinal Raynaldo Polo. Nicolaus Leonicus Thomaeus, of Epirot origins, was born inVenice (1456-1531). According to P. Bembo his lectures open a new chapter in the history of European philosophy, leading to the neo-Aristotelianism of P. Pomponazzi and C. Cremonini. His first printed work dates to 1523: Pavra naturalia, Omnia in Latinum... (Venice).
