First edition of the early Roman History by Dionysius of Halicarnassus, who lived in Rome in the days of Augustus. It was the first appearance of Robert on the printers’ scene, then aged only fifteen, the son of Henry Stephanos, giving his father a helping hand in regard to corrections of proofs. According to Harwood, it is one of the most beautiful Greek books ever printed.
