Dionysius Areopagites.
The work by Dionysius, surnamed ‘the Areopagite’, refers to the Acts of the Apostles (XVII, 34); and is often confused with Dionysius, first bishop of Paris. The works attributed to him refer to a writer adherent to a mystic dogma of a neo-Platonic nature that developed in Alexandria in the fifth century. The first edition was printed by the Giunti in 1516, followed by many more among which as typography Morel’s edition stands out.
