Mathaios Devaris. Mat. Devarii Liber de Graecae Linguae Particulis ad Alexandrum Farnesium Cardinalem S.R.E. Vicecancellarium..., Rome, Francesco Zannetti, 1588.
The first edition of the Corfiot Matthaios Devaris (circa 1509-1586), a student at the Rome high school (gymnasio), who composed the detailed table accompanying the ‘Parekvoles ston Omero’ by Eustathius (see No. 74). Among other things, Devaris was systematically occupied with correction of the Greek codices of the Vatican, by order of Pope Paul III.
