First edition, the second being H. Commelinus’s printed in Heidelberg in 1596. The work was written between 1347 and 1368 and records the hierarchy (taxis) of the titled and officials of Constantinople’s imperial court. The chapters on the ecclesiastical officials were added later, in the sixteenth century and are erroneously rendered by Kodinos.
