Dionysius Halicarnasseus.
The first edition of Roman Archaeology was issued in 1546 by Robert Stephanos in Paris (see No. 87), the first edition of ‘Peri syntheseos onomaton’ appearing the same year, commonly known by its Latin title De compositione verborum, once more from the Stephanos press. Dionysios’s complete known works were printed by the successors of A. Wechel in Frankfurt in one and only edition between then and the date of the present edition, in 1586.
