First and unique publication of the work of Schioppalalba, classed in the framework of flourishing studiousness seen in Venice in the eighteenth century. The writer has examined the amazing treasure chest from every aspect, that Cardinal Bessarion donated to the Scuola Grande della Carita in 1463. The etchings enriching the edition, with the crucifix case of the Greek cardinal are the work of Pietro Monaco.
