Gabriel Severus. Συνταγμάτιον περὶ τῶν ἁγίων... μυστηρίων, Venice, Giovanni Antonio Pinelli, 1600.
First edition, with the second printed by Nikolaos Glykys (1691). The present one is the second known copy outside of Mt Athos. In the Syntagmation are recorded as well the Holy and Sacred Sacraments and interpreted. Gabriel Severus (1541-1616) was born in Monemvasia, studied at Padua and lived in Venice from 1572, succeeding N. Malaxos in his duties at the church of St George, and then went to Constantinople. In recognition of his accomplishments the Patriarchal circles nominated him Metropolitan of Philadelphia (1577).
