First edition of the Tablettes Chronologiques by G. Marcel (1647-1708), a French chronicler who studied law mainly and worked as second librarian in the significant library of the monastery of St Victor in Paris. He was particularly accomplished, able to dictate to then people simultaneously and in seven different languages, according to the Journal des Savants.
