First and sole edition of the work by Meletios Syrigos attaching the Calvinist and the related positions of Cyril Loukaris. It also contains a treatise by Dositheos, Patriarch of Jerusalem against the ‘calvinist insanity’. Meletios Syrigos (1586-1664) was born in Crete, studied in Italy, attended philosophy courses next to Korydalleas and complemented his knowledge with studied in rhetoric and physics-mathematics. He lived at the precise time when the Lutheran-Calvinists were distributing leaflets, in the name of Loukaris, with a view to making converts.
