First and sole edition of this work, which is however one of at least seventeen publications by the author. Androutzes (1683 - later than 1757) was born in Cyprus and was a student at Rome’s College of Saint Athanasios, obtaining the title of Doctor of Philosophy and subsequently earning renown for his lectures at Bologna Tutorial School. He embraced Roman Catholicism and became a virulent critic of Orthodoxy.
