Emmanuel Moschopoulos. Περὶ Σχεδῶν ἤτοι Γραμματικὴ..., Vienna, Josef Kourzbeck, 1773.
First edition of the Peri Skhedon by D. Chalkokondyles in about 1494, while the present one was sponsored by K. Philippides, the editor of which signed the Prologue Notes with the initials “Μ.Π.Γ., ὁ Σιατιστεύς”: i.e. Michael Papas Georgiou. Papageorgiou (1727-1796) studied next to Paisios, later Bishop of Paramythia, and completed his philosophical studies in Ioannina next to E. Bulgaris. He then travelled to the West, was taught German and Latin and ended up in Vienna where as a teacher of Greek he instructed Greeks and clerics of the Catholic Church. He had links of friendship with the supervisor of the Imperial Library.
