Demetrios Darvares. Γραμματικὴ Γερμανικὴ ἀκριβεστάτη..., Vienna, Josef Baumeister, 1785.
First and only edition of the German Grammar, composed by Darvares, based on diverse old and new ‘Treatises’, with the aim of equipping Greeks all over the world dealing in German-speaking territories with useful tools of communication. Darvares was born in Kleisoura in Macedonia, studied Slavonic and Latin in Pest and subsequently, having completed his studies in Bucharest, attended classes in philosophy in Halle, later settling in Vienna.
