Matthaios, monk from Ganohoron.
Second edition of the Grammar, the first being of Venice in 1775, composed by the monk Matthaios from Thrace’s Ganohoron, who was also the first teacher at the Academy in Bucharest. The reasons that impelled him to the composition and publication of this Enchiridion were to provide the school public with a grammar more easily understood than Gazis’s.
