First and only edition of the Thesaurus of the doctor-philosopher Karaioannes from Thessaly and close collaborator and counsellor of the Great Interpreter Gregorios Alexandros Gkikas. It also represents at the same time the first Greek book to be printed in Buda. Karaioannes was born in Trikki and was a pupil of Nikolaos Zerzoules and of Bulgaris. He studied medicine in Naples, where he initially also practised and then moved to Constantinople.
