The Prodromos tis Hellenikes Bibliothekes inaugurated the collaboration of Coraes with the Zossima brothers, who inaugurated his publications programme from the year 1804. The book circulated in 1500 copies and was printed in a family of characters instituted by F. Didot, wherein the ligatures of the typeface were absent which were the pre-eminent particularity of Greek editions.
