Athenaeus, Ἀθηναίου Δειπνοσοφιστῶν βιβλία πεντακαιδέκα Athenaei Deipnosophistarum Libri Quindecim, cum Iacobi Dalechampii Cadomensis Latina inerpretatione --- & notis ---, Lugduni, Apud viduam Antonii de Harsy, 1612.
This edition of Deipnosophistae, the major work of Athenaeus, is a reedition of the editio princeps, which was published by Marcus Musurus at the printing shop of Aldus Manutius (Venice, 1514). This is the fourth edition of the text. It was translated into Latin by the French botanist and physician Jacques Dalechamp(s) of Lyon [1518-1578(88)]. Daleschamps was a prolific author, surgeon and philosophy scholar, who enriched the edition of Athenaeus with crucial comments.
