Open Internet Platforms for Culture

The Onassis Scholars' Association Onassis and the Onassis Cultural Centre NPO implemented* a series of actions aiming at:

a) the use of new technologies for the promotion of the hellenic cultural heritage through the Onassis Library and its rare book collections

b) the development and dissemination of digital cultural content and the development of innovative digital applications that will contribute to the promotion of artistic creation in the fields of visual arts, theater, dance and music.

The results of the project concern the following issues:

Digital platforms for Letters

   - Digitisation of old and rare editions
   - Documentation of digital  material and interface with knowledge databases (Wikipedia, Europeana, EKT, etc.)
