[Fran. Voltaire]. Περὶ τῶν Διχονοιῶν τῶν ἐν ταῖς Ἐκκλησίαις τῆς Πολονίας δοκίμιον ἱστορικὸν καὶ κριτικὸν... Μεταφρασθὲν [ὑπὸ Εὐγενίου Βουλγάρεως]... καὶ Σχεδίασμα περὶ τῆς Ἀνεξιθρησκείας [ὑπὸ Εὐγ. Βουλγάρεως]... [Leipzig], 1768.
The first edition, by Joseph Vourdillontos in French, was first printed in 1767 and reprinted by Johann Christianos Fischeros purporting to be the author of the work. The book was subsequently acquired by a certain Greek who, albeit not knowing French, thought it contained thoughts of interest to the Greek people: he translated it and promoted it in the Press. The Greek edition, generally attributed to Eugenios Bulgaris, was complemented with clarification of what Voltaire has written, resulting in revealing the hypocrisy of the Roman Catholic Church. The edition is complemented by Bulgaris’s Schediasma peri Anexithreskias.
